11/11

ree

Backstory: I am waiting on God (so hard for me) to direct me in how many writings (right now I am writing in Google Documents) I should have before I start a blog (or share my writings). I am at 11; this one makes 12. I know you're not supposed to look up the significance of things because they are often taken out of context, and it is easy to be led astray. Here I am, googling what 11 means in the Bible. It gives me some random answer I don't care for. I think that is what I get for looking it up: stupid question, stupid answer. Then I see John 11:11 in the Bible, so I look it up. It talks about where Lazarus has been dead for four days, but God came and healed him. Isn't it amazing how Jesus is always on time? If you don't know the story, stop and read John chapter 11. This is a reminder that God is always providing and that He rewards your devotion (your faith).

Just a thought, but what if that is where 11/11 originated from? Not that we should wish and God is some genie who grants our wishes, because that is not true. However, He will provide to those who have faith. It's a reminder that God's love can conquer all of our fears, including death.

The next time you hear 11/11 make a wish, just be reminded of John 11:11 and how God is always on time.

Note: Today is Dec 6 and it has been a little over two months since I wrote this. I am up to roughly 36 writings, and we have Published our webpage today. It's good to make sure the plan is of God, but don't let fear hold you back. Keep putting in the effort and showing up and He will keep providing.
