Mirror Mirror

A mirror of our heart 

How we act what we say 

Changes when will it start

Are we free to feel this way 

Pure love to show each day

Put God first in all we do

Play with dogs now we lay 

Believe He rescued us too 

Shut off word, leave all in past 

Alone at last, take a breath 

Fake peace will never last 

My body hurts, my mental health

Confused, lost, trapped in a loop

Happy, careless, anger, rage 

How far will I allow myself to stoop

I am getting stuck who locked the cage

The whole is deep; I can't climb out 

What was peace now is a trap

So alone, cold, always in doubt

I'll just lay down take another nap

I look up, now what do I do

I'm in a rut, I can't shake this feeling 

Be happy, but somethings blocking my view 

Broken inside myself, what is God revealing 

I try to start over, do what I know is right 

Read the Bible, pray all day and night 

Clear my thoughts, give it all to you

God what do you want me to do? 

Abandon relationship, heart breaks 

Mirror is foggy, it's all a mistake 

Surrender when it's too late or day by day

I can't without you every step of the way 

To step back from God and just take a break 

Love is a problem, the relationship is fake 

To love is to know

 and for that we must grow 

Day by day take his hand 

He will find you in the dessert land 

One day at a time, choose to follow

This isn't a place where we should wallow

He picks us up 

And fills our cup

His love is true 

He is never through 

Wipe the tear 

Come along my dear 

He mends the heart and clears the mind 

He's always there never leaving anything behind 

Such grace and mercy, love so sweet

What He started He will complete
