Dry Land

My Ship is upon dryland
It cannot be fixed by title or man
My heart is true, and my mind is quick
Keep Stumbling over the same old brick
Piece by Piece, I am put back together
Cannot be destroyed by trails, my foundation will not weather
Seems like waiting is all I do
Learn to be still, I hear from God and so can you
Feel the warmth of the sun upon my face
Reminds me of God's forgiving love and merciful grace
The challenge arises when taking action is near
Obeying God trusting in him without any fear
Driven by what I want, I strive to find my joy
But just like a child we outgrow our favorite toy
Peace that last comes from the quiet inside
Alone, Self dialog, from my God I cannot hide
Decisions to make, some seem like a dream come true
Is the waiting over? Have I finally made it through?
To worry about the future or what it could be
Is taking from God and holding on to me
Let go of myself and let God lead the way
That is when my ship returns to water and sails away
when what you hope for is finally here
Who is guiding you hearts steering wheel
To give up is to gain, shows our hearts true desire
Follow God not yourself proves the devil is a liar
